Calhoun's On The River
Calhoun's, on the Tennessee Riverfront, downtown Knoxville, is our pick of all the Knoxville restaurants. It has atmosphere, beautiful riverside views, convenient parking, good food and service, and reasonable prices. Their specialty is barbequed baby back ribs. Two can split a full rack of ribs, have one of their specialty mini-brews, and leave the premises for under $30, including gratuity.
Directions: Take I-75 south from exit 122. Continue south on I-275 passing under I-640, exit east on I-40, and take the James White Parkway to Neyland Drive. Continue Neyland Drive and turn left at the first traffic light. This puts you directly in front of Calhoun's. Continue past the restaurant if no parking out front. There's plenty of parking between Calhoun's and the River Boat. About 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Don't be discouraged by large crowds. This is a large restaurant and they are very efficient.
